I just recently graduated in December 2011 from Chapman University, a small liberal arts college, in beautiful Orange County, California. Graduating and finishing courses didn't really hit me until a few weeks ago when I started preparing all my materials for the commencement ceremony occurring this upcoming May. This was a huge actual reality check! Truthfully, I am scared to death to actually let go of that chapter in my life. Chapman University has helped create the bright, young woman I am today. I have so much time and love still invested in that school, why would I want to give something so fantastic up?!?! It feels like yesterday when I set foot on to that campus. Just a wide-eyed Junior level transfer coming into the spring semester, knowing hardly anyone on campus. By the end of that first year, I joined a bunch of student organizations, got elected to multiple leadership positions, learned where I was going on campus, built relationships with my professors and found some of my bestest friends!
My time at Chapman University hardly seemed long enough, but I made the best out of my time there. I will forever remember every UPB event, late night fast food/boba runs with sisters, stressing over planning for greek events, delusional studying and crazed typing in the library at 4am, bedazzling every sorority item in sight, and of course who could forget the Infamous Chapman Undie Runs at the end of every semester. I won't deny that my years at Chapman University were some of the best years of my life. Well it was a great run and thanks for all you've taught me, I guess it's officially time for me to step out in the "real world."Yikes!
